See? I TOLD you!

Apparently, a highway traffic sign in Austin was recently hacked to read "Zombies Ahead" (see photo) as a warning to passers-by.  The City of Austin quickly noted the hack and "hoax", with Fox news reassuring that, "if you're driving in Austin, you can rest assured:  there are no zombies ahead". The full story is here if you want to see it.  My old buddy Paul Bengds said, "Austin city officials said that it was 'cute'... but little do they know!"

Indeed!  Those of us working within Kingdom initiatives know differently.  There ARE "Zombies Ahead"... Smart ones, and in increasing numbers.  I see little glimpses every day, whether here in South Bend or as far away as India that indicate that more and more people are closing the "gap" between the "Living" and the "Dead", and am pleasantly encouraged to be endeavoring to be one of them.

For example, Dan Blacketor and i spoke yesterday and this morning to groups of college students from Bethel College here locally.  The room was packed on both days with bright eyed students looking to make an impact and bringing the best of who they are to those who are hurting and at the margins, both in their "own back yard" here locally, as well as internationally.  It was awesome!

So... make no mistake, there ARE "Zombies"... and if you're not already one us, you should be aware that we're "ahead"... or you should head for Alaska, which would be REALLY nice this time of year.
